18 sleeps until Santa!
Only 17 days until Christmas! I cannot hold my excitement any longer. The countdown has officially started and to kick it off I thought I'd review this lovely NYX product! I recently received this gloss in a giveaway that I won. I was instantly excited as I have always lusted after a NYX product to fall into my hands and for me to be able to try it out. As you can imagine, the second I realised that this was in my little bundle, I prepped my lips with some lip balm and applied it. I was sent the shade '122 Natural' which, turns out is a perfect shade for me. It very nearly matches my natural lip colour - totally perfect for a glossy finish to a makeup look.
I've fallen in love with this product already, the gloss applies so well to a dry or primed lip and isn't as sticky as most other glosses. It feels just like a lip balm and hasn't so far *touch wood* had a 'hair-in-lip-gloss' kind of situation! It's a great consistency - not too viscous and yet not so watery that it's sheer and slips right off of the lips. The pigmentation on this product is also top notch, although it is a fairly similar colour to my own lips, I can still see a noticeable difference to when I apply it. I was amazed at this gloss for the longevity of it's lasting powers, whilst throughout my day I have drank perhaps two - three hot chocolates / drinks, this gloss has magically managed to near enough stay put and leave the tiniest of glossy rings on my mugs and stay a good couple of hours before needing the smallest of touch-ups.
NYX have really gotten this packaging right as well, the wand is angled just right for a perfect application and doesn't pick up too much of the gloss so that you end up with a splodgy mess. AND can we please just talk about how cute this little bow design is on the top?! Such a lovely little extra!
I'm so impressed with this product that I will definietly be popping over to my nearest Next store that now stocks NYX and will be sneakily adding a few items to my basket - I'm intrigued as to how much I will love their other products too! I've also managed to find this Lip Gloss in a Christmas gift set for a bargain price of £12!! You can buy it on the Next website here.

I love this! I got one of these in a NYX goody bag too and was so impressed. Mine is bright red which isn't quite so wearable on me but this is a gorgeous colour, I'll be adding this to my NYX order I think. Great review x
