FOTD | MAC Shy Girl

I couldn't help myself the other day and 'accidentally' bought myself yet another MAC lipstick. Naughty. I have been after a nude for so long and this one just looked perfect whilst I was procrastinating at the gym - who doesn't like to do a little online shopping when trying to think of excuses to not exercise?! This colour is so nice as it's a lovely nude with pink-orange undertones and as a Creme Sheen it's even better as it keeps moisturised throughout the day!
Do you have a favourite MAC lipstick?

Review | Tanya Burr Lip Glosses*

A couple of months a go when I first heard that Tanya Burr was launching her own range of products along with Eye Candy I couldn't wait and jumped at the chance to buy myself some of her gorgeous new products. However, I fell short at the first hurdle when her range of lip glosses were completely sold out by the time I got round to ordering them (I just had to buy four of her nail polishes first and wait until next pay day for the glosses - such a mistake). I hadn't gotten around to buying any more since and so was delightfully surprised when a couple were waiting patiently for me in a packet on my bed one day after work.

Tanya's lip glosses are lovely. I have to be honest, I've never really been a lip gloss kind of girl; with hair as long as mine and the English weather, lip gloss doesn't really work too well - hello windswept hair stuck to lips, definitely not a good look! However, I have to admit, these glosses are perfectly balanced. They are so pigmented with such good lasting colour and even carry out as a stain in some cases and of course, they're not too sticky!

I was sent two gorgeous colours, 'Exotic Island', which is a gorgeous hot pink and stains the lips really nicely. I've completely fallen for this colour and it works so well with a subtle eye, all ready for the summer! This colour also works so well on my sister - I had it a day before it had mysteriously disappeared and was spotted on her lips. Exotic Island is the perfect shade for any spring, summery look and I can't wait to be rocking it more, especially when I'm out in Ibiza.

The second shade was 'Champagne Toast' - as we all know I absolutely love nude colours and this is just the nicest gloss nude that I've seen in a while. It really compliments my skin and makes me look like I've got so much of a better tan than I actually do. Result. Unlike 'Exotic Island', this gloss doesn't have the same stain power, however, I don't really think that's an issue with a nude like this; with 'Exotic Island' a stain is much more needed.

Overall, I've been really impressed with these two glosses and will definitely be looking in to more of Tanya's shades - especially since it's so much easier now that they are available in Superdrug! Holiday Wishlist #2

Ibiza is now only 42 days away and honestly, I'm a little scared with how little shopping I have done so far. I can't wait to hit the sun and the sand and lounge by the pool for a long long week along with Beki (blog here), but I genuinely am ashamed at how little I have bought. For that reason I have knocked up a second holiday wish list, you can't go wrong with too many sets of inspiration! I'd also love it if you could comment below with any links to items you think would be perfect for my trip! I'm a newbie with the holiday fashion - it's been way too long!

NOTD | Models Own Haul

When I heard that Models Own were having a '6 for £20' sale I just could not resist. I only had a couple of their nail polishes previously and the two shades that I did had instantly become my favourites. As summer is coming and the neons and brights are coming 'back into fashion', I just couldn't help myself when it came to choosing these gorgeous colours. My favourites from the mini haul have to be 'Bikini' (which I applied straight away) and 'Sophie's Pink' (which will be next weeks shade). I have absolutely fallen in love with these nail paints and with Models Own in general, they've really impressed me and are totally worth the hype.  I can't wait to get a taste of the rest of these!

From left to right: Bikini, Indian Ocean, Fluro' Orange, Pukka Pruple, Sophie's Pink, Blue Glint

Have you ever tried Models Own? What are your favourite shades?

Review | Save the Blow Dry Moisture Eliminating Queen of Shower Caps*

Being a girl and being a girl with long hair, it can be an absolute pain in the ass to wash. Hence, why I only wash my hair once or twice a week. This is why, when this gorgeous Save the Blow Dry Shower Cap* popped through my door I was more than excited to try it out. This shower cap is such a smart little invention; it has a flannel cap sewn to the inside, keeping moisture out and not ruining your perfectly groomed hair.

The next best feature of this is that you can easily turn it inside out and use it for a hair mask -  not ruining the towel lining. This is so perfect as hair masks have always been such an issue for me, they're always so difficult to figure out and can get all messy when you can't properly fix your hair up.  Save the BlowDry have honestly saved me here.

From a girl who has always had an issue using shower caps, this one has definitely change my mind about them and has made being gross and not washing my hair, that much easier! Plus, have you seen the cute colour and design?!

You can buy a Save the Blow Dry cap here  for £9.95!

Healthy Living | Obsessed with Fitness

As some of you may know, at the beginning of this year I made an oath with myself to start going to the gym more often. I thought it would be hard, I thought I would be wasting my money on the lovely members gym that I splashed out on, but surprisingly I've gone the complete opposite way.

I have become obsessed with exercise.

For a while, it was just as normal, me not being bothered and going just because I was spending the money; but then something in me changed and I went absolutely crazy. I cut down on eating sugar at work and bought myself a fruit bowl (don't worry, I filled it with fruit too). Eating healthier has made me feel so much better in myself - but it's also made me realise how obsessive this can be. I'm getting more relaxed with it now,  but I also went down a route of calorie counting like crazy. Becoming obsessive with exercise is one thing, but becoming obsessive with my calorie intake was taking it a little too far when I realised I was eating less that I was burning off before my exercise.

After controlling what I ate a little better, I started working with a personal trainer to get my abs in better shape. Honestly, I hate him most of the time, but I ache after and I know that means that something's working. I also do a lot of swimming on top of all of the abs work outs that he does with me, its a great cool down and more cardio on top of my sessions on the Arc Trainer and the Bike.

It's only been a couple of months, but already I'm kind of seeing a difference in my body and in my energy levels. I can't wait to get stuck in more and see even more of a difference. I'll update you soon!

Review | Benefit's Big Easy

As you all probably know, when it comes to Benefit, I'm a little crazy. I go weak at the knees and tremble a tiny bit every time I see one of those gorgeously pale pink and beautifully kitsch counters in Boots or Debenhams. So when a new product is announced, ready for release - you can imagine how excited I get and how eager I get to go and spend my pennies! There's just something about opening the package of a brand spanking new product and it's nothing different when the product's from Benefit. So you can guess how excited I was when the 'Big Easy' was announced. Benefit's first BB cream, acclaimed to be 'Bigger than BB', was next on my shopping list.

I've only ever tried a BB cream once, it was extremely thick and when wearing it I thought like I was 'caking' it on - through no fault of my own or by using too much. I've been scared ever since to touch one and honestly, I'm still not entirely sure what 'BB' stands for. However, I still couldn't resist it when Benefit brought out their new BB - If there's ever a time to try again, it would be with Benefit!

I've only been using it for a few days now, but already my past qualms about BB creams have subsided a little. I'm still unsure as to why 'Bigger than BB' is better than a normal foundation (I still think their 'Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW' foundation is still up with the best) but I have decided that out of the two that I have now tried, this is definitely much better than the first. I love how easy it is to apply - using my trusty Real Techniques Stipling brush, of course - and I really like the way that it blends nicely with my skin to give me a true colour match. I've been happily surprised with this product and am happy to say that Benefit hasn't let me down still.

Have you tried Benefit's 'Bigger than BB' the Big Easy yet? You can buy it here for £27.50!

Topshop lipstick | Whimsical

I am a massive fan of Topshop lipsticks. I bought a couple of them late last year and have been wanting to buy a new one ever since, I've just always had the issue of not being able to settle on a colour. However, after falling foolishly in love with orange shades this spring, I just couldn't help but purchase this cheeky peachy number to have my foot in the door with these hot oranges. Whimsical is such a beautiful and calm orange. It's peachy and yet still has some subtle orange tones, making  it a perfect 'bridge' shade between the pinky peaches and full blown oranges. I love how soft this shade is and with the creamy formula of Topshop's lipsticks, it's great for an everyday slap of colour.

I'm determined to rock the fruity look and can't wait to get my hands on some more daring colours, but for now, I'm extremely happy with this gorgeous pale orange. What are your thoughts on this lovely new lippy trend?

OOTD | Sammy Dress Oversize Hare Jumper*

A couple of weeks ago I was approached by the lovely people at SammyDress to review one of their products - after much thought and deliberation, I chose their Over sized Hare Jumper and I couldn't be happier with my choice! I know, I know... It's almost Summer, why am I wanting a jumper? Well, there is method in my madness. I love stripping down to the bare minimals in the summer, but there are also times where you just need that perfect baggy jumper! Off to the beach? Those coastal winds will chill things up a bit to the end of the day. I love a good baggy jumper and this one is just great. The knit is lovely and soft and even after a wash, it shapes well. I also love the cute 'hare' design, it's perfectly quirky for me and I've been almost living in this for the past couple days.
If you'd like to try out this jumper click here.
You can find SammyDress here.

Mini Elf Haul

Spending the weekend in Cardiff meant one thing; Taking a trip to the only E.L.F store in the UK. I was so excited and just couldn't contain myself walking around the little store. Everything was so white and neatly organised! Having no previous expertise when it comes to E.l.f products, I was like a kid in a sweet shop trying out all of the shades and swatching everything in sight. I managed to restrain myself and come away with only three items - however I'm definitely going to have to make another cheeky online purchase!

The first product I came away with was a product that I've heard a lot about - The beloved Daily Brush Cleaner. I've wanted this for so long and cannot wait to start using it and see how brilliant it actually is. It's just one of those products that I know is going to become a 'can't-live-without' type of thing. I'll write a review up soon, once I've used it properly, but so far I'm loving it! It's such a cheap alternative to buying a million different brushes and is so easy!

Secondly I picked up this gorgeous Nail polish in the colour 'Party Peach' It's such a lovely vibrant orange and I can't wait to get it on my nails. It also seems to have a lovely sheen / sparkle to it, without it being a glitter polish which is a big bonus in my books! Anything that looks as great as a glitter but doesn't require all of that effort to get off is such a winner for me. I was told by Beki, that E.l.f nail paints are really good quality for the price and trying a couple in the store I can tell she's going to be right about this. They dried so quickly and it wasn't a pain to walk around with my hands out trying to dry the swatches! I can't wait to get this on my nails!

Last but by no means least, I picked up this Matte Lip Colour in 'Coral'. Beki said so many great things about these pencils that I just couldn't leave without one. I'd seen something similar in NARS earlier in the day and just couldn't decide whether to purchase it or not because of the hefty price tag, but in E.l.f there was no decision alike involved - just a decision on what shade to buy! In the end I opted for Coral, It's such a lovely orangey-peachy-pink and looks so good on the lips. I love how the formula is really creamy too, it applies well and really is a great matte. I'll definitely be popping a couple more of these onto my online basket shortly!

Have you ever tried any E.L.F products?

NOTD | Butter London Kerfuffle

Shopping in Cardiff last week I found this gem of a nail polish in TKMaxx for the bargain price of £4.99! I was so happy with my purchase that I popped it on straight away. I have been very impressed with this nail polish and if it wasn't for the hefty price tag, I'd be buying a lot more. The viscosity is amazing and after just one coat, It could have been enough; it also dried really quickly which was such a plus as I was dying to dig into a packet of crisps!
