So you remember when I said that recently I've had a bit of a spendy month? Well, this post might just be part 2 of 3 (possibly 4) of proof of that. I am ashamed to say that since being paid I have been even more spendy and it is most definitely time to put myself on a strict spending ban. Especially since I am looking for a new job with a lower wage, I certainly need to stop spending my pennies! Anyway, since I spent the money already I thought it would be best to show you what I bought! As you can see I hit up my two fave counters, Benefit and Charlotte Tilbury!
First stop was Benefit during a trip to get my eyebrows done a couple of weeks ago. I was hungover beyond belief after a messy weekend with Jordan and some of his friends and somehow I managed to get up and wonder down the road to my appointment. I had no makeup on, felt dog rough and almost fell to sleep whilst my brows were being waxed. Luckily, the lovely Benebabe who pruned my caterpillars back to a godly state let me have free reign on the beauty counter to make myself look a little more life like before heading off to meet up with the others again. Of course, with all of that makeup at my disposal it wasn't a shock when I fell back in love with some of my old favourites and just had to make a purchase. The first item I picked up was Porefessional, the only primer I have ever truly loved and the only primer that comes back into my life time and time again. I know some people find it a bit of a hit-or-miss product, but for me, this is an utter gem. Next up is another of my 'one-true loves', They're Real Mascara. A stubborn bitch of a lash coverage and one of the best mascaras I've ever tried. Product number three in my Benefit basket was Puff Off a newer release that I hadn't tried before, to banish puffy eyes before applying the rest of your makeup in the A.M. I'm sorry to be boring and have no actual deets here but I haven't actually tried this more than once so far - I promise if it's note worthy I'll have a full review soon!
Second stop along my road to bankruptcy was Charlotte Tilbury; the new twinkle in my eye and winner of all of my makeup love. The brown and gold packaging is what dreams are made of and so are the products within! On this trip I fell for these products after having my face made up by a lovely MUA at the London Selfridges concession. I've been against brow pens and pencils for quite some time as frankly I have had no idea how to use them and my heart has been set to Benefit's Browzings for the last couple of years. However, after a little lesson I eagerly purchased the Threee-way Shape, Lift and Shade Tool and really haven't looked back since. I am obsessed with the natural look that it gives my brows and how well the colour suits me. I really like the full brushed out appearance and can't believe how much I get out of this one product. Brow pencil, Spoole brush and a hidden highlight, all in one, for £23 this is the product of dreams! Last but not least, I picked up a gorgeous Brown Rock 'N' Kohl liner. I always smoke out my bronzed eyes with a brown liner and now I have the perfect one to go with the rest of my face when I'm properly made up!
I honestly think that if I'm going to spend my hard earned cash, I've at least gone about it the right way! Benefit and Charlotte Tilbury are two of the makeup goddesses and I'm very happy with my purchases this time around. What makeup bits are you looking to purchase soon? I'm heading off to Florida soon so leave your Sephora picks below so I can add them to my shopping list! Keep subscribed to my blog to see my Kurt Geiger Haul next!
