Product Review: Batiste Oriental Dry Shampoo

I think we all know that I am a massive fan of Batiste Dry Shampoo, so I guess it's not that much of a surprise that I'm doing another review (you can see my last review here) on one of their new products.

Oriental is the new variation of scented dry shampoo from Batiste and with Eastern influences being the talk-of-the town when its comes to catwalks and new fashion designs this season, they couldn't be any more on-trend if they tried. The can is gorgeously decorated with pastely pinks and purples and is definitely an eye-catching girly looking product that would comfortably look at home among any young beauty-obsessed girl's stash of hair products.

Oriental is a gorgeous variation of the original dry shampoo from Batiste with scents of Apple, Wild Berry and Jasmine coming through strongest (I find it also has a musky edge to it, which makes it smell all the fresher when in my hair). For a girl who loves her dry shampoos though, I can't help but think that this scent is a little less powerful than some of its buddies over in the Batiste range, however to me, this could also be seen as a positive - after all, not all of us want our hair to smell prettier than us!
As always, the dry shampoo is of top-notch quality (do people still say top-notch?) with it lasting almost all day and keeping me feeling fresh when I just haven't had enough time to wash my hair. Unlike other dry shampoos, it also doesn't leave you with those ghastly white marks atop yout head, if brushed through thouroghly and sprayed at a reasonable distance (Batiste reccomends 30cm).

I've said it once and I'll say it again. I love Batiste Dry Shampoo.
And Oriental is a most definitely a lovely new addition to the family.

  2. This is such a cute bottle! I love the tropical scent the most so far, and I have tried a few of them! I like the fact you say it doesn't have as strong of a scent too as sometimes I feel they can be a little over powering :)
    Fab post!
