For the past couple of years, I've not really thought too much about hair brushes. I found a rather large paddle brush in Primark once for £1 and decided to stick with it, repurchasing when I lost / broke it. However, recently I've broadened my horizons when it comes to hair brushes and fell in love with my Tangle Teazer. I carried it everywhere and it really was my go-to.
But then...
I came across Denman.
D6 - SHOWER BRUSH*
The D6 is an in-shower brush which is described to give you an
'invigorating massage every time you wash your hair'.
I'm not going to lie to you, the feel of the bristles on my scalp is a very nice feeling, however, I wouldn't necessarily describe it as a 'massage' as I use this brush to brush through my conditioner as I wash it out of my hair.
The D6 is designed to detangle your hair as you shampoo and condition. On the packaging it states that it's ideal for applying these products, although I would disagree after trying to. I found it a struggle to detangle my hair whilst appling my conditioner, whereas using it to wash out my conditioner was a breaze. I would definitely say that this product is more suitable for brushing out the product as it glides easily through the hair with the help of the detangling agents in the conditioner.
The brush itself is really easy to grip with a wrap handle on the back which is easy to slot your middle three fingers through for great grip, definitely an 'up' on the Tangle Teazer.
Overall I would say that this is a really helpful brush and for the purposes that I use it for, it works wonders.
The D6 ranges between £3.50 - £3.69 and can be bought online or at Boots.
D90 - TANGLE TAMER*
Now, I am aware that this is supposed to be a brush for use on childrens hair, but I have fallen in love with this brush more than I have my Tangle Teazer, in fact, I think this has become my new go-to brush.
The Tangle Tamer has bristles made of Nylon, which make them supersoft and sensitive on the scalp. They're also of varying lengths which, like the Tangle Teazer, help detangle hair fast and pain-free. I also love that this brush has the Classic Denman handle, easy grip and no chance of it snapping off mid-brush like some other cheaper brushes.
This is such an amazing brush, I can't even put into words how much I love it. I would absolutely recommend this brush to anybody. Definitely not just to children.
The D90 is avaliable in many different designs and is around £6.98 and can be bought online.
