The Oversized Zara Tee

For the past couple of weeks I've been a bit reckless with my credit card. I went on a bit of a splurge at the Trafford Centre and finally found a couple of gorgeous bits in Zara that I loved. I've always been a fan of Zara but I've never actually found any pieces in their that suit me. No matter how many beautiful shirts or pairs of trousers I've seen on other people I've just never managed to find anything that's made me part with my cash. That was until I popped in one weekend with a new girl friend and found an abundance of items that I was completely in love with. One of my absolute favourite pieces was this over sized white Tee with a huge pocket detailing. I instantly knew it would be perfect for in the summer tucked into some denim shorts (another purchase of mine which I will share at a later date) and also just with my favourite River Island jeans. I wore this little outfit to London for Lunch with Tori and Tasha (you can read all about or trip to St Katherine's Docks here) and absolutely loved the way that it looked with my crochet Next trainers and Asos coat. I'm trying to find my style a little more recently and I think this little splurge was definitely welcome, no matter how much I shed a tear when it came to paying it all back off with this months pay!

Have you ever found items that you instantly fall in love with like this? What are your favourite stores for clothes?

Results With Lucy | Week 2 Update & Progress Photos

Okay, so I'm actually 3 weeks in to this plan, but due to one messy weekend and a week of being ill I decided to go back to the beginning of week 2 to do this properly. After all, I'm reviewing this plan for you lot too and I'm determined to get my beach body ready for my Disney holiday, which is now only 48 days away (not that I'm counting). So week 2 has been even more successful than my first week of following the Beach Body plan on Results with Lucy, I'm really enjoying the workout that's been designed for the second week and I've been looking forward to getting up and working out. Week 2 has a different video for the days you're supposed to exercise and the workout has definitely stepped up since the first week, but it's still not too demanding (which is perfect). According to my personal trainer (who I see once a week) I've lost an inch on my waist and hips since starting this plan and I already feel much healthier and can see slight changes in my body which I'm loving! I definitely think a lot of it is in my mentality too,  I feel better, feel fitter and feel more confident overall.

One of the main things I've been loving from Results with Lucy over the past two weeks has been the 'Eat Well' section, which is full of recipes and meal plans to go along with my Beach Body program. I'm a very fussy person and when I first started this I thought that this would be another meal plan that I just wouldn't follow, however I've been pleasantly surprised at how nice the meals are. It's not a plan full of fancy food; it's a plan that's full of food that everybody eats. Healthy recipes of family favourites and easy meals that are quick to prepare. I'm a fan of cooking in the moment and not having to prepare for meals a day or so in advance; as much as my boyfriend loves his slow cooker, I prefer to cook as I go. The Results with Lucy recipes are absolutely gorgeous and I've definitely been a little more daring with what I've been cooking. One of my favourite meals to cook is surprisingly actually porridge for breakfast. Considering I was a girl who didn't even eat breakfast, I've been loving getting up a little earlier and whipping myself up a bowl of Banana Porridge. It's super tasty and the perfect meal to get my metabolism moving. I've also been loving cooking the oat covered chicken that I showed you last week! I just want to point out though that as much as I am trying to stick to the actual meal plan for my Beach Body program, I am sometimes deviating from the path and cooking my own meals. I still take these from the RWL 'Eat Well' section, but I'm definitley not a lover of fish, or even a liker of fish for that matter, so for meals where it suggests I eat fish I tend to search for a similar meal-type on the website and cook that instead. I'm finding using the plan as a guideline and not a strict diet is keeping me much happier and I'm wanting to stick to it a lot more!

Now for the Results! I started this program on 7th March and the photos from March 7th can be seen in the 'before' section of the collage above. These photos were taken before my first workout and before I started eating with the RWL meal plan and recipes and I'm not going to lie, I was unhappy looking like this. I want to just reiterate that I am aware that I am by no means fat or overweight, but I didn't feel comfortable, I felt like I was chubbier than I've been for quite some time and I just wasn't happy in myself. Since being on this plan and exercising with the RWL videos (and of course my bootcamp and pt session each week - which I go to for social reasons and to incorporate more weights into my routine) I've seen such a difference in myself. I also just want to point out that although I do also go to bootcamp and a personal trainer once a week, I was doing this before I started my Beach Body plan. My point is that yes I go to those sessions, but I still wasn't happy in myself and I really think that RWL has helped me take that leap that I need to change my lifestyle and become healthier, happier and all together fitter. I've been told time and time again that it's 80% what you eat and after these past 2/3 weeks I can definitely say I agree 100%. The second two photos in the collage before were taken earlier this week, on the 22nd to be precise and I am so happy to say that I can already see and feel a slight difference. My stomach is visibly a little less dimply (if that's even a word) and I feel like I've got a little more shape back in my figure. I know it's not a huge difference, but for two weeks work, I'm incredibly happy with where I am and that I've got a little less 'podge'.

The best difference by far though is how I feel in myself. I no longer feel like I constantly have no energy and I feel more confident. I'm wearing clothes that I wouldn't have done over the last few weeks and I'm seeing a difference in the way I feel in those clothes. For such a short amount of time since I started, I'm pleasantly surprised with the results so far and I really can't wait to keep going and see the results at the end of this six weeks. I honestly can't recommend Results With Lucy enough right now!

You can sign up and search for your perfect plan here or try the free trial here! Have you been following any exercise / meal plans recently? How are you getting on with your journey?

A Trio of Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is such a hot topic at the moment, especially in my household, well, especially with me. Over the last couple of months I've tried a range over different products and I have to say I've actually been pleasantly surprised with the results. I've never wanted to try any kind of teeth whitening before with fear of splashing too much cash or ending up looking like Simon Cowell but with these three easy high-street products I really don't know what I was thinking. First up is Blanx White Shock toothpaste, an extremely bright blue toothpaste that whitens your teeth as you brush! Unlike some other whitening pastes, this one actually can be used to clean your teeth and not just as an after thought, which I have to admit I do often forget about. I've been using this every day for the last couple of weeks and even though I don't think it's the whitest of all whites I have seen a slight difference in my teeth. I really do think that after using this continuously for a couple more months, they'll be the sparkling the way I hope they will be!

Next on my list is Boom Tooth Tabs from Lush. Now, these bad boys scared me so much when I picked them up in store that I almost didn't buy them, but with a little persuasion from my friend Stacey I picked up a packet and have been extremely happy with the results so far. When I use these I'm probably a little too thorough, but I first start off with brushing my teeth as normal, the pop one of these (not so) delightful tasting tablets in my mouth, crush a little with my teeth and brush with my toothbrush as usual. I then brush my teeth again to get rid of the black which does make the process a little long but all in all the results are probably the best I've seen. The only downside, like with all of these 'quick and easy' teeth whitening products is that you can only really see the results if you keep going with the tabs every day. I've found that as soon as I've stopped my teeth aren't as bright as when I do brush with this every morning.

Last but not least in this trio of teeth whitening products is MintyCoco, an oil pulling treatment that you are supposed to use every morning before brushing your teeth for 5-15 minutes. I was very generously gifted a two week packet of these sachets to trial a couple of weeks back and I have to admit that even though they made my teeth shine after every use, the idea of using this every morning definitely put me off. Instead I've been using this in the evening in preparation for a night out and I really have been loving the results. One thing that I would say though is that for the price of the packs, I do think that you could probably just use regular coconut oil. I really hate having to write something negative about a product but at the end of the day I do think that this is just a bit of a clever marketing campaign for a product that can already be easily accessed by the masses. Minty Coco is a great product that works and does have a lovely taste thanks to the inclusion of the minty taste but I personally don't think it's one for me. Although my teeth do look amazing after using it ad I would recommend it for the great taste!

What products have you used for whitening your teeth? Are there any more that you'd recommend?
You can pick up MintyCoco here, Blanx here and Lush Tabs here!

Kurt Geiger Ladbrook Flatform Trainers

Ooh look what we've got here, another post where Beky has been prancing around forcing Jordan to take photos of her! Also known as a little outfit post. I braved the white Joni Jeans for this little outing as I thought they just looked so pretty with my gorgeously girly new Kurt Geiger Ladbrook Flatform trainers. I was very generously gifted these when I attended the SS16 Press Day and I instantly fell in love with them! The baby pink top and white platform bottom are absolutely perfect for me and easier than I thought they would be to style. As always the comfort from a pair of Kurt Geiger's is second to none and even with the additional height (which is most definitely welcome for a short girl) they are still so comfortable to walk around in all day. I wore this little number to the Trafford Centre for a spot of shopping a couple of weeks ago and really loved wearing the shoes, even to drive in! For £150, they have a pretty hefty price tag for a pair of trainers, but honestly these are well worth the money in my opinion. Kurt Geiger always know how to impress. They currently have a massive sale on so make sure you go on over and check it out because I bought a pair of gorgeous platform ankle boots for £19 down from £110 today!! Sale = HERE. You're welcome.

Have you ever tried a pair of KG's before? Let me know your favourite style in the comments!

Mini:V Nutrition | Protein Snacks & Online Subscription

Over the last couple of weeks I've been bustin' a gut to get eating healthier and to get into shape for the Summer and my Summer holiday. Sometimes that can be hard and sometimes you need a little helping hand and for me when I get those sweet cravings there's been one thing I've been reaching for; the Mini:Bar from Mini:V Nutrition. I've reviewed a couple of the Mini:V products on the blog before and this time around I thought I'd discuss their latest releases and new online subscription!
Starting with the Mini:Bar the new Vanilla Choc Chip flavour is literally to die for. I wasn't too keen on the Chocolate Orange one because personally a fruity/chocolate mixture has never been my thing, but this Vanilla concoction is honestly so good that I'm about to place an order for some more. They fill me up when I'm craving a sweet snack and completely stop me from eating everything in sight when I'm ravenous between meals. Not to mention, their full of protein and are designed to keep you going between workouts. The Mini:Bar in Vanilla Chocolate Chip has to be my favourite Mini:V product by far!

Up next is Mini:Tone, a new supplement to add to the brand's ever growing range of products. This one is designed to do what it says on the bottle: help tone! 'Perfect for muscle toning, muscle repair and muscle maintenance' these tabs are great alongside workouts to help enhance your muscles and toning. I've been using these for a couple of weeks now alongside my workouts and I must say that I've seen more of an improvement quickly in my stomach and arms since taking them. It may also be in my head more but I feel like they help reduce the two day muscle pain after working out, repairing my muscles quicker.

Mini:V have also recently released two  other new products / features on the site. The first being Mini:Chips which come in two flavours (Barbecue or Sour cream) and also the online subscription service. Now when I first heard that they had started a sub service I was a little sceptical, at the moment they seem to be all the rage and too expensive for most people to use on a monthly basis, but Mini:V is different. From £2.99 a month you can get full access to the sites workouts, meal plans and recipe videos and for an extra £1 a month yo also get a unique 40% off voucher code to use on products on the site. Which I think is an absolute bargain! The workout videos are great to work alongside and teach you the movements as you go and the recipe videos are great for cooking alongside. I love that they're 'real' meals too, you know, ones your actually going to want to cook! I think it's such a great service and I absolutely love the on-demand feature, you can work out when you want and theres no pressure. I really like what Vicky and the Mini:V  team have come up with here!

Have you tried any of the products or the on-demand service before?

St Katherine's Docks | London Lunching

On Wednesday I ventured down to London to attend the Next Beauty event but before all of those activities I popped along to St Katherin's Docks to meet Tori and Tash for a spot of Lunch at The Dickens Inn Pizzeria. It was a gorgeous day and having never been to St Katherine's docks before it was lovely to have  the sun shining in on us as we sipped on some afternoon prosseco and cut into our pizza like sophisticated ladies. After finishing off our meals and demolishing the prosseco we then got our photography heads on and conducted a full blown fashion shoot outside for our blogs. A lot of giggles and some great 'behind the scenes' shots later and we finally parted ways a little too full. I had a great lunch with these ladies and can't wait to pop back to London again soon to see them again.

Five things to be Happy About

When I first received my Blogger Journal (available here) I absolutely loved the fact that it came with a page full of fool proof blog post ideas, something that I have definitely been needing at the moment. It's not that I've got bloggers block exactly, it's just that I want to give you something a little bit different to what I usually write. I'm very conscious that I've done a lot of lipstick posts lately and even though I love writing about lipsticks, sometimes its nice to mix things up a bit. So today is 'five things to be happy about', a little chatty lifestyle post. I haven't been having the happiest of starts to the year so I thought I would do this post as a little reminder to myself to keep me a little more cheery!

1. I have just had the best weekend with friends. Jordan's best friend from school and his fiancee came to Manchester for the weekend for drinks and shopping and I literally had the best weekend that I've had in ages. I didn't know Danny and Stacey before they came over but I have to say that we all got on like a house on fire (such a strange saying). We went out for drinks in Alchemist on the Friday evening, had an afternoon at the Trafford Centre (haul coming soon) and then went out to Tiger Tiger on Saturday evening and had such a messy night - for those of you following my snapchat story, I do not know how my lipstick got smudged all around my face, but I hope that you enjoyed my singing! For those of you who do not follow me on SC - you can by adding me: beky_morris - you're welcome. It was the best weekend I've had in a long time and I can't wait until they come over again, although maybe a quiet one in next time, 2 day hangovers are not the one!

2. I found a pair of Denim shorts in Zara that fit me perfectly and do not make me look or feel fat / inadequate / like I have thunder thighs at all. They're what I've been searching for for so long and I cannot believe how unbelievably happy they make me. You can find these here.

3. My holiday to Disney World is now under 2 months away. As I write this I have 1 month and 29 days until we jet off and this makes me incredibly happy. I am so in need of a holiday and I can't wait to be the worlds biggest kid with Jordan and go mental in the parks! Also. Sephora. I can't wait to hit up Sephora!! I've already been looking online for what to buy so feel free to leave me some products in the comments that I should get!

4. My parents are coming up to visit over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend and I am so excited to just spend four whole days with them. Since moving to Manchester I've struggled with homesickness quite badly and even though I managed to hide it for quite some time recently all I've wanted to do is be with them and at home. So to give us the best of both worlds whilst Jordan is working away over the Easter holiday they are coming to stay with me! I can't wait to show them more of Manchester and to just have some really nice family time with them.

5. Last but not least, my fifth thing to be happy about at the moment is the Sun. Something that probably sounds a little silly but I am always honestly a million times happier when the Sun properly starts to appear again. I feel like I just have so much more energy and so much more 'get up and go' when the Sun is shining and I can't wait to be able to wear more Summer clothes and have more time in the day to do things!

I hope you have liked this post! It's something a little different for me but I think I'm going to start incorporating a couple more of these posts into my blog in the future as I really enjoy reading them and writing them!

Live Love London Lipsticks

If you follow my blog religiously, or even just every now and again (if not you can do here) then you will probably notice a running theme through most of my beauty posts: I like lipsticks. A lot. I have far more than anyone actually needs (as Jordan likes to point out quite often) and yet I still can't help myself when it comes to buying more, as many beauty bloggers find. It's an unhealthy, expensive obsession but I still can't quite help myself when a new shade or brand crosses my path. Live Love London are the latest brand that I've come across and I have to say that when they were initially sent to me I was equally as excited as I was nervous; these are some very bright colours! However having played around with them for a bit I've come to the conclusion that these lipsticks are nothing less than gorgeous. The bright colours and amazing pigmentation make these perfect for a quick application. From the selection that I was sent above two are matte colours (the red and purple) and the other two are slightly more glossy with the baby pink being full of sparkles. They are super long lasting and really don't budge once you put them on! I'm really loving these lipsticks. You can pick these up exclusively in BHS stores around the country.

How To Get Beach Body Ready | Results With Lucy

So as many of you may know in May I am flying off to Florida with my boyfriend (if you want to meet him you can here); we'll be gone for two whole weeks and to say I am excited is a massive understatement. Even though our time in Florida will mainly be spent in the many theme parks (hello Disney World and Universal!) it is also a holiday and I'm definitely going to want to relax by the pool too. Relaxing by the pool means one thing in my head and that is working hella hard before we go to make sure I look good in those bikinis. Now, I've followed a couple of fitness plans recently (you may remember my Winter Wonderbody Challenge) and I regularly go to Bootcamp and Personal Training but for the next 6 weeks I'll be completing a plan from Results With Lucy. I've eyed up this programme for a while now and after reading Lucy Mecklenburgh's book 'Be Body Beautiful' last year I have wanted to try out the Results With Lucy website and plans more ever since. Luckily being a blogger does occasionally have some really cool perks and I was offered to trial the Beach Body plan ahead of it's release over the next few months. Unfortunately that does mean that its not currently available for you lovely lot to follow at the same time as me just yet but if you check out the Results With Lucy Plans you can find some other great plans for you to get stuck into too. They have  great selection of different types of plans and you can choose anything from beginners to an intense 12 week '6 pack abs' program. I really like that this doesn't have to be a month subscription too; a lot of the plans are to a set time frame (just like my 6 week Beach Body Plan) which you pay for in full up front.

Today is the day I show you my 'before' photos. Now, I'm by no means fat (and I just want to emphasise that I do know this) but I have been strongly hating on my body for a while now. I've been a lazy binge eater since Christmas and I've put on lots of extra 'wobbly' weight around my stomach, bum, thighs and oh my God don't even get me started on those love handles! I was slowly becoming aware of how much weight I actually had put on but these photos really have woken me up to how unhealthy I really was being. The old 'I did a squat, I can eat a donut now' was something that I was foolishly living by and I am so grateful that I've now snapped out of that silly mindset. So below are the photos I took before starting the RWL Beach Body Plan on Monday of this week and I have to say that even though it's only been 5 days, I'm already starting to see a difference in my shape! I am a size 8 currently but was definitely heading towards the size 10 marker around my thighs! As you can see there's quite a lot of extra 'flab' around my stomach and waist area and that is definitely something that I want to tone up during the next six weeks. I've never wanted to be stick thin, but to be svelt and toned is something that I do strive for and I know it's something that I can get to with working out and eating healthily.

Eating is something that as I've mentioned above, I have struggled with recently. I've had a dificult couple of months in my personal life and thats meant that all I've wanted to eat is chicken super noodles on toast with an absolute f*ck tonne of cheese melted on top (it may sound disgusting but believe me it is the ultimate cheat meal). The Results with Lucy plans are designed with not only the exercises but also eating plans in mind. As part of their 'Eat Well' section there is an array of recipes and meal plans to follow to get the most out of your food and exercise combined. After all, weight loss is 80% what you eat! I'm a really fussy eater in general but I've found that the recipes are great for people like me. I've found meal plans really difficult in the past because the food is always too fancy and full of things that I don't like, but with the Eat Well Plan on the RWL website there's something for everyone and 'boring' food is made in the most delicious and exciting ways. I've actually been loving waking up and eating breakfast (something that I never normally do) and having exciting starts to my day with Greek Yoghurt & Berries or a 'Breakfast Roughie' and my evening meals have never been more delicious! The meals and recipes are so easy to follow and so quick to make. I've been really enjoying cooking new things again and eating meals that are more than just goujons and chips! Below is a mini collage of some of the meals I've eaten this week! I started off with oatmeal chicken (chicken breast covered in porridge oats) and then going from left to right I had: Steak with Sweet Potato and Feta mash and veg (this mashed potato is to die for), My Breakfast Roughie and the last photo is of a lunch I had one day this week: left over steak with smushed avocado, feta and spinach! I don't think I've ever had my plates looking so colourful!

I'm so determined to stick to this plan and I'm actually really excited for how this is not only going to change my body but also my lifestyle and mindset. I never knew that eating healthy could be so adventurous and so tasty and I am loving this new change that I'm going through! I'll be posting my next post around the 3 week mark into my Beach Body Plan and will be updating you on how I'm getting on with the workouts, the differences I'm seeing in my body and the meals that I've been loving! Don't forget to check out ResultswithLucy.com and look into signing up if you're not already. I'm enjoying this so much more than a gym (in fact I've actually cancelled my gym membership now) and I can't wait to see the results in the next few weeks!

My First Trip to A Casino

Just over a week ago I jumped on the Metro with a couple of my blogging buddies and took a little trip to the Grosvenor Casino in East Didsbury for an evening of learning how to play Roulette, Black Jack and the infamous Poker. I've never been to a casino before, let alone tried to play any of the above games and I can tell you know that I had an absolutely great evening! The lovely guys at MediaCom and Grosvenor popped on a tab for us bloggers and so we all had unlimited drinks and cocktails for the duration of the night - something which I thoroughly enjoyed and got a little bit too tipsy! Turns out that alcohol and gambling isn't actually the best idea and I failed miserably in all of the games; my poker face really isn't up to scratch when I'm slightly drunk and think everything is absolutely hilarious. I lost our poker tournament within the first round and lost my chance to win a Go Pro Hero - I 100% blame Cosmopolitans and Long Island Ice Teas for my failure. I had such an amazing night and will definitely head back to one of Grosvenor's Casinos soon to see if I can change my luck a bit!

Many thanks to Matt and Bradd from MediaCom, Grosvenor Casino's and my loves Nina (What Nina Spotted) and Anna (Don't Cramp My Style) for a great night! Have you ever been to a Casino before? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

P.S - Please can we appreciate my drunk / confused / sad faces!

All about that base

I have been having the worst makeup days ever recently. I've become really lazy with perfecting my face and so within a couple of hours I usually look completely washed out. After a couple weeks of barely wearing makeup you'd think that I would be all about the makeup at the moment but I'm really struggling to find the motivation to stick to more than just a half-assed base. Luckily for me it's at least been staying put thanks to a new miracle worker cream that's (dare I say it) better than your bog standard Primer? For the past couple of weeks I've been trying this new cream, that although smells a little funky at first has been an absolute dream to work with. The latest beauty craze to hit the industry recently has been that of the Aftershave Balm as a primer.  Loved by the likes of Nikkie Tutorials this craze shows how Aftershave Balms stick to your foundation to give a flawless finish. Lotil is a multi-purpose cream packed with Glycerin (which is the magic ingredient in Aftershave Balms) that also has the hydrating edge making it the perfect beauty companion! I've been using mine now for almost a month and I have to say that the longevity of my foundation has been amazing whilst I've been applying my Lotil cream. I've been really impressed by it and honestly never would have thought that a cream like this could do the jobs (and better) that your expensive branded Primers can. Forget your £20+ on a primer that would only see you out around a month, Lotil is available in Boots for £3.59 for 50ml - SAY WHAT?!

For my Foundation I've continuously been reaching for the Clarins Everlasting Foundation+ , my all-time favourite and something that I would easily accept a life time's supply of in a heartbeat. I absolutely adore this foundation and couldn't ask for a better coverage. It's such a great consistency and glides on the face so easily. You can read my full (but very old) review of the Clarins Everlasting Foudation+ here for more details as to why I am obsessed with this base!

Contouring and Highlighting have been two techniques that I have been trying to master lately and I have tried and tested a million and one products that have and haven't worked, but over the last two weeks I feel like I have found the perfect combination! The Maybelline Dream Bronzer is something that after my teenage 'Dream Matte' days I never thought I would use, however after my Mum picked it up for me in a surprise Boots trip I started using it and absolutely fell in love. The creamy texture is one of the softest and easily bendable that I've tried and I absolutely love the colour and longevity of the product. I barely ever have to reapply or touch up and it's so much better than the powder bronzers I've been using lately. For my highlight I've been using something pretty basic; the Collection Perfection Lasting Concealer is what I've been picking up to highlight in the areas under my eyes and along my cheek bones, on my forehead and just on my chin. It's been amazing to blend in and show a natural contrast between that and my new bronzing contour!

I've been really loving these products as my base for a while now and don't really want to try anything else. I feel good just wearing this and a dash of mascara and I definitely haven't felt like I've been able to do that for a while! Have you got your perfect base sorted? What are your go-to golden products?
