My Life: 80s Fancy dress

So as many of you may know, I'm a barmaid for a local pub where I live and we often host birthday parties/events for which we go all out. And when I say all out... I mean it.

Saturday night it was 80s night for someones 30th birthday party. 80s disco and ... Wait for it...
                                     FANCY DRESS.

This means, the staff have to dress up as well. Here are a couple of snaps that were taken on the night of me and my colleagues all dressed up ready to go.

From the left: Kirstie, Me and Tash, working the bar at the 80s party.

Some party snaps of 80s dress up!

I had such a fun night even though I was working and even had some naughty shots towards the end of my shift with the rest of my colleagues and a lovely local who bought them for us.

How would you dress for an 80s themed party? Let me know in the comments

My Favourite: Benefit products

As many of you might know, I am a huge fan of Benefit products. I thought I'd take this opportunity to show you just a few of my all-time favourites.

Starting with the new bronzed/blush combo : Rockateur
This is such a good mixture powder, it's the perfect combination between blush and bronzer and works perfectly with my skin tone and foundation. I would definitely recommend this as it's a fantastic new product compliments skin perfectly

The next product from Benefit that I adore is the Thery're Real mascara. This mascara deserves it's #1 ranking, it's amazing. Even though I naturally have quite long lashes it still manages to make them look even longer and fuller. For me, I feel bare-faced if I don't have amazing long lashes and without using fake ones this is my go-to.

A non-make-up product here, this Benefit Refined Finish Facial Polish is a must-have. I use this facial scrub once a week, alongside my other daily facial cleansing routine. It's rough texture digs deep into pores and after washing it off I can definitely feel an imidiate difference in my skin. It feels fresher and cleaner and it's great with keeping spots at bay! Benefit recommend using this after their foaming face wash, as this a product that I don't own, I use this product after using my Nutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub.

The last product in this 'My Favourite:' blog is the Boiing concealor. I find that this concealor in shade 01 is perfect for my skin tone and it is really good at covering blemishes and spots. And even though it's not quite as good as covering the dark circles under my eyes as much as Erase Paste is, this concealor is an all-round wonder overall.

My Weekend Away Essentials

9It's come that time again where all of my friends have packed up their bedrooms and trundled off to university; leaving me behind. Now, normally I'd be all upset and wishing Christmas would come sooner so that they'd all come home. But this year I've sucked it up and have just decided to splash out on train tickets and go visit a couple as soon as possible.

I am not missing out on the parties this year.

So in all of the excitement of packing ready for this weekend away to Walsall's last few days of Freshers, I decided to make this flustery little blogpost on my must-have weekend away items.

£10 in Boots, this beautiful Ted Baker make-up bag is in my must have travel items. It's the perfect size for all of my little make-up treasures and the front pouch is great for keeping spare hair ties and pins.

This second cheeky recent purchase and next essential weekend away item is my new clutch bag from River Island, at a pretty decent £15, it's the perfect size to fit in my (extremely large) purse, my keys and phone. It's super cute and easily goes with any outfit. Perfect for all of the partying I shall be doing.

This mini can of Batiste dry shampoo in Cherry is a definite must-have for any weekend away. It's quick and easy and is compact, handy to just pop in your handbag or clutch to refresh those locks wherever you are, whether that be on the train or in the club.

Last but not least and by far my favourite weekend away essential are my booty Heels from Miss Selfridge. A steal in the sales this time last year at just £35 they have been my go-to pair of heels for a night out and although quite chunky, always manage to make the cut for my weekends away.
