1 year old!

It's been a hectic couple of weeks in the Morris household and I must say, as in my previous post, that I am very sorry I've been a bit absent this past week! Unfortunately, the hectic week happened to occur at the same time as BekyLou's first blog birthday. I've been quite disappointed I haven't had the time to celebrate properly, but at last I can! Take a peep below at some of my favourite posts from this past year!

At the beginning of the year, one of my most loved and most popular posts was one including my first 'brave faced' picture - I've defininetly had a lot more of these fine moments on instagram since! In this post I talked about my 'Hangover Pampering' tips and tricks! Definitely one for when you're a teen like me! You can find this post here

One of my most loved posts this past couple of months has been my part of my Healthy Living Series. My 'Simple Home Exercises for Abs' post got a lot of loving and I even managed to recreate some of my exercises on my Youtube channel. You can find the blog post here and the video here!

Of course, we all know I love my food! I couldn't help but share my favourite Pasta Bake recipe with you all and I hope over the next coming year I'll be able to share a lot more of my faves with you! This post can be found here.

Another post I'm most proud of. I described my journey with Anxiety and Depression in a post this time last year. It was the hardest post I've ever had to write and still takes that place. I'm so glad I wrote it though, as I found it helped a couple of you and also the comments made me feel so much stronger and supported. You can read my journey in this post here.

Obviously, my blog wouldn't be here without all of the makeup and beauty side of things, above I blogged about the first bloggers meet that I organised! I'm hoping to organise another one soon! Read all about the event here!

And then there's the standard birthday of the blogger post! Another will be coming in the next month along with a wish list and such birthday related posts! I'm so excited to be turning 20 on Halloween! Of course, this also brings out a lot more Halloween related posts and tutorials too! I cannot wait :)

I really appreciate all of the followers I've gained over the past year - It means so much that you've all come along on my journey and stuck with me! Let's hope BekyLou's 2nd year is as great as her first!

Everything's just taking it's toll...

Have you ever just sat and looked at your blog and thought, now what? I do this frequently. I often run out of ideas for blog posts, get 'bloggers block' and sometimes just really do not have a clue and where to go with things. Obviously, this is something that I overcome a lot and it's just a silly five minutes I have, but it's been happening more and more recently.

Don't get me wrong. I love my blog more than anything. However, with a stressful full-time job and my crazy gym routine, it can be hard to find the time to sit down and write. Recently, i've been quite ill and I find that after those little bursts, the last thing I really want to do is sit and write something cheery. Sometimes you just need a bit of time to yourself and I hope you can all appreciate that. I try my best to stick to my three posts a week schedule and bring interesting new posts, but sometimes I just don't physically have the time and energy for that.

My Blog turns 1 year old tomorrow and I was so desperate to be writing a really exciting post for you all, with a big shiny giveaway to celebrate, but again, I just haven't had the time to get it all prepared, which I actually find quite sad. I love my blog to bits and I appreciate all of my followers so much, I want to be able to give something back to you all. Don't worry, my big shiny giveaway will be coming, just a little later than planned.

I think really, the point of this post was to say I'm sorry. I'm lacking a little with my posts at the moment (or at least I feel like I am, thank you if you feel that I'm not) and I just wanted to say, stick with me if you can. I'll be back in full swing very soon, I've just got to find the oomph from somewhere. Little sister is heading off to Uni on Sunday so i'll definitely have a lot more free time after to be getting down to the blogging business.

Halloween | What to Wear

As many of you may know, Halloween is a massive day for me. This year, Halloween marks my 20th birthday. I have two amazing nights planned this year, one being in a haunted mansion and the other being on Halloween itself. Every year, I get a little stuck when it comes to my costume. Of course, I want it to be Halloween related and 'scary', but I'm also a girl and like my costume to be really feminine (is it wrong to want it a little sexy?!). Below, are a couple of my options for this year. I have already actually purchased 'dead Dorothy' and am looking into some makeup ideas on how to get myself dead and gory, but still looking pretty. But for my actual birthday, Halloween night, I haven't the foggiest as to what to wear. I need your help ladies! Which of the below should I deaden up and dress up as? Or do you have any other ideas? Please let me know in the comments, I need all the help I can with this decision!

Clarins Autumn Makeup Collection '14

Autumnal makeup has to be my favourite. With the dark taupe's and berry lips, there's nothing more inviting than the looks that bring autumn and winter fashion together. I get very excited when I start seeing the Autumn/Winter makeup collections start to appear in store and even more excited when I get to brave that deep plum lip for the first time and it actually works well with my outfit! Today on BekyLou, it's all about Clarins Autumn makeup collection for 2014.

Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow | £19* | Link

Everybody here knows that I am a huge lover of a matte eyeshadow and these individual pots of matte goodness are just divine. I really love the cream-to-powder formula; it makes it so much easier to apply and you get such a great colour pay off. I found that these are great for wearing alone or blending together, which personally, I find unusual for this kind of formulation - I've never had great blending experiences before! I personally love, shade 01 - Nude Beige, the peachy undertone makes it great for an overall base or stand alone shadow. There are 6 shades overall in this collection, which you can find here - Although, a little pricey for individual shadows I definitely think these are worth the splurge, I honestly haven't found matte's this great in ages! Below from left to Right, 03 - Taupe, 01 - Nude Beige, 04 - Rosewood.

Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base | £22* | Link

Every great eyeshadow, needs that perfect enhancing eye shadow base. The Instant Light Eye Perfecting base is a lovely cream primer for your lids in preparation for the gorgeous shadows I mentioned above. I found this to be quite a thick creamy solution, however this just meant that I needed to use less of the product. It's comes in a lovely nude shade and works really well at perfecting the lid into a smooth base for your shadow. When using this base below any of the matte shadows (above), I found there was a great colour pay off that lasted much longer than if I wore them without the base. I always love eye primers and this is definitely up there with the best of them - dare I say, it's my new favourite?

Rouge Eclat Lipstick | £19.50* | Link

This is what I was talking about when I mentioned the subtle berry-toned lips earlier in this post. This gorgeous Rouge Eclat lipstick in Candy Rose is the perfect shade for my transition into Autumn and winter. It has such a creamy formula which is nourishing and leaves the lips feeling lovely. Rouge Eclat is the first anti-aging lipstick range from Clarins which means these lipsticks also leave your lips feeling visibly smoother. There are 5 shades to choose from in this collection and I cannot wait to get my hands on another.

Have you ever tried the Clarins makeup range? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Review | Clarins Cleanser and Toner*

My Skincare routine is my holy grail, but my skin can be a stubborn so-and-so and so i love to change up my skin care every couple of months - keep it fresh. Recently, Clarins, ever so kindly sent me two of their skin care products for me to try. I've been absolutely loving the. See my review below.

Daily Energiser Cleansing Gel * | Link

For a while now, I've been using the Clinique, 3-step skin care routine. It was good, but I never felt the cleanser was that great. The Clarins Daily Energiser Cleansing Gel is pretty damn amazing. I love the fact that this cleanser is a gentle foaming liquid; I've never been a fan of an exfoliator with beads. It gives such a great deep clean and you can really feel it too. Can we also discuss how gorgeous this thing smells?! I've noticed such a massive difference since cleaning up and switching to this cleanser. Along with the Toner (mentioned below) this is becoming my go to!

Toning Lotion with Camomile * | Link

Toner is an all time favourite of mine and I especially like this one due to the amazing aroma! The Camomile really stands out and it smells lush when you're sweeping it across your face. I can really feel my skin tighten a little when I use this, a toner is always great for getting rid of any excess dirt and really helps fight any battles with spots and blemishes! It's one of the best toners I've tried and it's even better because it doesn't sting a bit on all those pesky breakouts!

I pair these two with my BareMineral Night Serum, It's a great combination for me at the moment and as for a girl running low on the Clarins Cleanser, I'm definitely going to be repurchasing this soon!

You can check out the rest of the Clarins Skin Care range here!
