Birthday Haul!

I know, I know. How late do I want to be with this post?! I'm sorry! I debated actually posting this for a while, as I thought it would be too late (almost a month!) but I was persuaded and here it is!
I didn't get a lot of material things for my birthday, as my main present was seeing McFly at The Royal Albert Hall back in September but all the same I am so grateful for everything I have received.

Disclaimer**
I'd just like to point out that I am not at all bragging about what I have received - This post has been requested by a couple of people and I thought I'd share my excitement with you all.

One of my bestfriend's Becky, bought me these Gorgeous 17 mini Lip Glosses and this amazing Hand Painted Shot glass (below).

Rhiannon, also my best friend bought me this Gorgeous Benefit 'World Famous Nude' Palette, which I actually picked out for myself a couple of months ago - true friendship, that is, knowing exactly what I'd like!

She also gave me this amazing Face Emulsion by Benefit, which is truly amazing!

And isn't the card she got me just the cutest!?

From my lovely neighbour I received a mini bottle of Chardonnay, a collection of sweets (which myself and a friend promptly ate) and these two gorgeous face masks - she knows me so well!

This next present was from my Auntie Lorraine and it smells gorgeous! This has definitely become my go-to perfume for nights out!

Last but by no means least are my amazing Jack Wills Tartan Leggings, now I bought these myself, but the money was a present from my Nan. So thank you Nan, what great taste you have!

Guest Post | 3 Outfits 1 Blazer

This post was written by the lovely Laura from Laura Thornberry. If you'd like to be featured and write a guest post for me click here to find out how.

3 Outfits 1 Blazer

Hello Everyone!
My name is Laura and today I shall be guest posting on Beky Lou with a fashion centred post titled - "3 Outfits 1 Blazer"... I have chosen to post about this idea as I love to create OOTD and style related outfit posts and I wanted to share with you all how easy it is to create 3 different outfits using the same key piece.

The blazer I have decided to feature in my outfit posts today is a simple, smart black blazer from Primark, that I picked up a few weeks ago from there workwear department. I think that a black blazer is such an essential piece for anyone's wardrobe, as it is such a versatile piece of clothing that you can style with both casual and formal outfits!

So here's how I created my 3 Outfits using 1 Blazer!

Black Blazer - Primark
Leopard Print Boyfriend Tee - Primark
Black Leggings - New Look
Burgundy Vans - Very
Rose Gold Watch - River Island

This is a very casual everyday sort of outfit, that is both comfortable and stylish, perfect for going out during the daytime. This is such a quick, simple and easy outfit to through together, and something that definitely would suit all shapes and sizes! It also features prints and colours that are on trend, so you will also feel fashionable and chic!

Black Blazer - Primark
Floral Piped Top - Zara
Black Jeans - New Look
Brogue Style Flats - Primark
Statement Necklace - Primark

This outfit is definitely more formal and sophisticated, perfect for an evening out, a date or even shopping with friends. The Zara top features a dark floral print which is a huge trend this Autumn/Winter and the stunning statement necklace just adds that sparkle and finishes off the outfit!

Black Blazer - Primark
Galaxy Print Dress - Ebay
Studded Wedge Trainers - Zara via Ebay
3 Tier Necklace - Primark
Rings - New Look

My final outfit is this gorgeous cool and quirky number, that features this gorgeous galaxy print dress I picked up from Ebay! Again, I think this would be a more formal evening wear outfit, with that casual vibe from the stunning wedge trainers!

So there you go, I have created 3 simple yet stylish outfits using the same Primark blazer! I hope you all liked what I have put together! I would also like to thank the lovely Beky for letting me guest post on her blog and allowing me to share a post with you all!

OOTD | How I style Tartan

Recently I wrote a guest post for Alice over on Tea & Lead which featured a couple of my Autumn / Winter looks in the form of a lookbook - My first one, ahh! I thought for this reason, that I would show you one of the looks, one of my favourite for the colder days / evenings.

I absolutely love my tartan skirt and although it can be quite difficult to style, I think that this is a look that really works, especially with the addition of the faux leather jacket. With or without tights this outfit works really well and so is a great summer into winter combo. I paired this look with my black booties as I think this adds an edgier yet comfortable feel to the style.

Sorry for he rubbish image, haven't had time to take a better one!

These gorgeous Jack Wills Tartan Leggings were a total spur-of-the-moment buy. I fell in love with them and just had to buy them, however now I am finding it hard to style them. Damn Tartan! Why has it got to be so difficult? In the end I've managed to create this comfy look - an extra long black tank top underneath my 'Thirty Seconds to Mars' band tee. I also find that my big slouchy over-sized jumper goes great with these leggings and my black Vans. Such a comfy and yet simple look for these amazing leggings!

Let me know how you style tartan in the comments below.

Review | So...? Dry Shampoo*

As I only wash my hair every couple of days, Dry Shampoo is a massive Must-Have of mine. For over a year now, since I first stumbled across the glory that was Batiste, dry shampoo has been my savior. I was recently sent this sample of So...? Dry Shampoo*and I must say on first impressions, I was far more impressed than I thought I'd be. I know they say 'don't judge a book by it's cover' and all of that malarkey, but I haven't been too impressed with So...? products in the past.

Tossing my first premonitions aside, I happily started trying out this product. This 'lovely' scent is actually really nice, it has gorgeous tones of apple (which I believe make a great fragrance for products like this), violet and sandalwood. It has a great musky scent too which is also a plus for me! However this product failed to impress me greatly when it came to the actual product itself - as a dry shampoo it's good for a couple of hours, but fails to keep my hair feeling fresh for much more of that. I like my dry shampoos to last almost all day, like most of you out there I'm sure and this just did not compare to my trusty Batiste in this way.

I'm quite sad actually, that this product hasn't impressed me as much as I'd hoped. I'd really wanted to like this product in full, but it just hasn't lasted as well as I thought. However, for a quick pick me up and as a carry-around product during the day (especially if you do wash your hair every day), I think that this will be great for you, It does last around an hour or two and does a good job in that time period. For me though, its just the lasting of this product that lets it down.

You can buy this product here at a great price of £1.49!

Have you ever tried this product?
What do you think of it?

How I style: A Luxury Watch

Recently I came across The Watch Gallery and fell in love with some of the AMAZING watches that they stock. I'm not generally a fan of women's watches as I find them too dainty and boring, but when I searched properly, I came across THIS gorgeous watch. It's so far out of my price range, but a girl can lust can't she? I instantly thought of how I could style a Luxury Watch like this and came up with this Perfect Christmas Party Look.

I just thought that the black, silver and red really complimented each other within this look and made it a gorgeous combination for the party season!

What would you style an amazing watch like this with?

GUEST POST | Top 5 Perfumes of the Moment - A Simple Melody

This post was written by the lovely Melody from A Simple Melody. She's the first of hopefully many more guest posts on my blog! If you'd like to be featured and write a guest post for me click here to find out how.

Top 5 Perfumes of the Moment

By A Simple Melody

It's safe to say that I love perfume. I always find the need to buy more and more and my collection seems to be getting larger and larger. But for today, I'm going to keep it simple and tell you about my top five of right now.

WARNING: My descriptions of perfumes is outrageous.

These are in no particular order.

So first off, lets start with Marc Jacobs. As you can see there are two of his perfumes in my top five. The first one is Marc Jacobs 'Daisy' in the pink bottle. I LOVE THIS! It's such a lovely scent. I got the 100ml bottle for my 18th birthday, and it has lasted me such a long time. As I am awful at describing different scents, here is a description which I got from 'The Perfume Shop' website here.

  • Heart notes
    Wild Rose, Violet, Apple Blossom
  • Top notes
    Raspberry, Grapefruit, Pear
  • Base notes
    Plum, Cedarwood, Musk
  • Scent
    Fruity Floral
  • Feel
    Vibrant

Next we have the second Marc Jacobs perfume in my top five. This is the Marc Jacobs 'Dot' perfume. I received this one for my 19th birthday (as you can see I like to receive perfumes for my birthday aha) This one is lovely also. It's a little bit fruity, and a little but florally, and I'd say that this could be warn in the day or the night time. Again I took the Scent description off of 'The Perfume Shop' website here.

  • Heart notes
    Jasmine, Coconut Water, Orange Blossom
  • Top notes
    Red Berries, Dragonfruit, Honeysuckle
  • Base notes
    Vanilla, Driftwood, Musk
  • Scent
    Floral
Feel
Chic

Next up I have Lady Gaga's 'Fame' perfume. For one, I LOVE that the liquid itself is black. I think that it is so unique. Secondly I love the bottle. (Probably not important) BUT it looks so elegant. Unfortunately they didn't have a description on the website for this one. But if you would like to have a look at it yourself, click here to go to 'The Perfume Shop' website.

For my fourth favourite of the moment, I have chosen DKNY 'Be Delicious' This perfume reminds me of school. Weird right? But this was my favourite perfume scent ever when I was in year ten and eleven, and I still love it. Its doesn't specifically smell like apples. But it does smell incredible. Again this one doesn't have a scent description on the website. BUT 'The Perfume Shop' does have 15% off perfumes online and in store at the moment. Check out DKNY 'Be Delicious' here

Finally my fifth favourite perfume of the moment is the Juicy Couture 'Viva La Juicy' Luckily this one does have a scent description on the website here. So I'm not going to have to try and describe it myself. But this perfume is so lovely. I personally like to wear it if I'm going out for a meal or something. Because it's not too strong or in your face. I got this one for Christmas last year and I still am in love with the scent.

  • Heart notes
    Honeysuckle, Gardenia, Jasmine
  • Top notes
    Wild Berries, Mandarin
  • Base notes
    Amber, Caramel, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Praline
  • Scent
    Floral Gourmand
  • Feel
    Flirty

What is your favourite scent of the moment?
Any recommendations?
Would love to know either in the comments below or via Twitter.

Halloween Antics!

So as you may have heard, It was my birthday on Halloween. As many other bloggers are posting their halloween snaps, I thought I would share mine with you as well. I hope you all had a happy Halloween too, I'd love to see some of your outfits, feel free to tweet them to me!

Google wished me a happy birthday!

I had an amazing night with this crazy blonde - also called Becky - and I can say that this has been my best birthday by a mile.
