Nutribuddy 14-Day 'weightloss' Kit First Impressions

For a while now I've seen a lot of bloggers / social influencers posting or writing about a brand called Nutribuddy and being into fitness and protein like I am, I've always wondered if their products would actually work or not. I'm not usually into specific 'weightloss' kits as I'm more of a 'you should be able to do this on your own' kinda gal, but with this little extra tummy weight hanging around that I just cannot budge, I thought it would be a great time to try it out. Over the past week and a half, I've been trying out the Nutribudy 14 Day Weightloss Kit which surprisingly, I've been getting on with a lot better than I thought I would, however that story is for my next post, this one is dedicated to my first impressions.

When the kit first arrived, I was actually really surprised at the size of the packets; considering its only a 14 day kit, the packet of Sculpting Whey is actually rather large compared to what I thought it would be and it definitely goes a long way! The pack in all actually contains more than I thought it would too. Aside from the sculpting whey and the shaker you also get a 14 day supply of 'Hunger Fix' tablets, a pack of Multivitamin tablets and also a 'Little book of weightloss' recipe book. For £34.99 for the 14 day supply, at first glance I definitely think that this is worth the money - it may seem a lot for only a 14 day supply but for what you get in the pack and how much of a difference a 14 day supply could make, I think it's a great price - especially since the prices of protein are usually ridiculous anyway!

I chose the sculpting whey in the Vanilla flavour (you can chose either vanilla or chocolate) and I am so happy that I did because it is absolutely delicious mixed with water for a daily shake. It's advised that you can mix the sculpting whey with either milk or water but to save on the extra calories I always stick with water. I also like that this can be drank as a snack to curb any other cravings or as a meal replacement - again, I tend not to like 'meal replacement' shakes as I like to make sure I'm putting actual food substance in my body and not relying on shakes to get me through, but I have been enjoying these once a day instead of picking up a chocolate bar or an extra snack when I get a bit peckish. The item in this pack that I was most looking forward to receiving though were the Hunger Fix tablets as one thing I definitely need to do to keep the weight off is to stop eating as much! I need to stop snacking, stop eating such big portions and stop eating such fatty things in general and one thing I really hoped about the Hunger Fix tablets would be that they stopped me eating as much. I'm not entirely sure what they're supposed to do, other than curb your hunger, but I'll have an update on how I've got on with these in my two week update post next week!

I've been really excited to try out the Nutribuddy 14 Day Weightloss kit and really hoped that it helps me slim down a bit, especially with the extra bit of weight that I have on my stomach like I mentioned previously. As far as first impressions go, I've got high hopes for this kit as it doesn't seem gimmicky like others do, but I'll be updating you on how I've been getting on in next weeks blog post. I'd love to know if any of you lovely lot have tried any Nutribuddy products before and how you've gotten on with them! Please do let me know in the comments below.

Results With Lucy On Demand; Finding a Fitness Routine thats right for me

Since I moved home, almost three months ago now (what?!), my fitness game has been a little all over the place. I've been in the gym once a week for circuits with my dad and I've been on a couple of runs, as I mentioned in my last blog post, but other than that, I think I've kind of lost my mojo a little bit. With starting a new part time job, focusing most of my energy on my blog and seeing someone new, I've been struggling a little more than I'd like to admit with keeping up the fitness routine that I had before. I think with the way that I was living in Manchester, which was so much more structured, it was easy for me to fit in regular exercise; I knew what I was doing on which days and it was really simple to slip in a bootcamp class on Tuesdays, PT on a Wednesday and a couple of Results with Lucy workouts throughout the rest of the week and weekend. Now that I'm living at home however and I'm not working regular hours and I'm trying to fit in seeing someone else around their work schedule, I've definitely been lacking motivation to get into the gym or to get up and do a workout. Whenever I do have time during the days that I'm not working. I always try and get as much blog admin / photography and writing done as I can first and then by that time I never really find myself in the mood to work out. I think what I'm trying to say is that at the moment my priorities are a little wrong and I definitely want to change that.

Results with Lucy, my trusty online workout platform (created by Lucy Mecklenburgh) have however now released a plan that I think will just be perfect for me. Created specifically for those that like to be their own boss when it comes to working out, the On Demand program gives you the flexibility and freedom of logging in and working out whenever you want and working out whatever you want. Filled jam packed full of 400+ workout videos and over 350+ recipes, the On Demand program literally is perfect for anyone just wanting to do their own thing. With all of my restrictions at the moment, the On Demand flexibility is just going to be an absolute life saver and since I can take the workouts with me where ever I go I can even make use of the facilities of my gym and still have my own personal workout and trainer at the press of a 'play' button!

I know I've probably mentioned this before, but having someone telling me what to do keeps me so much more focused in the gym. I've had a couple of years of having personal trainers and paying them ridiculous amounts of money each week for them to tell me how to workout and what to do in my sessions and I think that's one thing that I really love about the Results with Lucy On Demand program; for only £14 a month you still get that personal touch where you have someone walking you through the workouts and pushing you more than you normally would yourself (even though they're not in the room with you). It's a really great concept and with workouts that cater for every ability from beginner to advanced, this new program really does tick every box. I especially love that you get to create your own workouts as most clips are around 5-10 minutes long; fancy a leg day? No problem, just choose a couple of leg focused workouts (which are easily accessible thanks to the colour coding Results with Lucy have attached to the videos). Fancy an arms only or a full body workout? No problem, just pick the videos you want to complete and workout to your hearts content! It's the perfect kind of workout for me, because not only do I get the freedom of 'creating' my own workout, but I still have the trainers pushing me and talking me through the workouts as I go!

For an extra £3.50 a month you can get unlimited access to the site's 350+ recipes too and from experience, that little extra cash is definitely worth it when it comes to the meals and snacks that are on Results with Lucy. Coming from a rather fussy person when it comes to her food, I can easily vouch for how easy and healthy these recipes are. Think normal, feel-good, home cooked meals, just a little healthier. No fancy, overly expensive ingredients, just good food cooked properly to ensure you're eating healthy and balanced meals. To be honest, I think the recipe section of Results with Lucy is worth the membership in itself!

It's safe to say that as I type this, I'm a little bit excited to get started on my first On Demand workout! As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I've had a bit of a motivation slump recently, but writing this post and having a look around the site for my first impressions, has actually made me want to get up off my ass and complete something! Make sure you go and check out the Results with Lucy page as the new On Demand plan is available now! I'll make sure to keep you updated over the next couple of weeks to let you know how I'm getting on and what my favourite exercises / recipes are! As always, a massive thank you to the team at Results with Lucy for gifting me with a plan to keep me in shape!

Quick & Easy; Harley Quinn Makeup Tutorial

For my final Halloween Makeup Tutorial before the big day, I've decided to go 100% basic bitch and bring you a Harley Quinn tutorial! Ever since Suicide Squad was released earlier this year, I think every girl has fallen in love with Harley a bit, me included! To be honest I'm not entirely sure if I want to be her or be with her (Margot Robbie playing her of course), but either way, I knew that a massive part of me wanted to dress up as her for halloween. So in collaboration with Party Delights again, I've created a really easy Harley Quinn makeup look for you and you can of course purchase the Harley Quinn Adult Costume from them! Before I even started my makeup I also used the Blue and Red Hair Sprays from Party Delights to get the same effect as Harley has!

Harley Quinn Makeup Tutorial

Step 1 - Apply a normal foundation base (however slightly lighter than your normal shade) and lightly fill in your eyebrows as usual. Apply a small amount of contour to shape your face.
Step 2 - Using Snazaroo Red and Blue face paint, apply to your eye lids (blue to the left, red to the right) and blend out slightly under your eye so that it looks messy! Apply eyeliner as normal and smudge out underneath the eye.
Step 3 - Using Liquid Eyeliner or Snazaroo Black Face paint, paint on a small heart under the red eye and also write in 'ROTTEN' along the cheek to make up Harley's tattoo.
Step 4 - Apply a bright red lipstick to your lips
Step 5 - Using two fingers, smudge your lipstick down from your lips towards your chin on the side of your face with the blue eyeshadow.

I hope you like this quick and easy Harley Quinn Halloween tutorial! I'm aware it's not the best out there, but for those of you needing a little last minute inspiration or need something that's quick and easy to recreate then this is the one for you! I really love what I've managed to create and cannot wait for this weekend to roll around!

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Reloaded Review

Being a blogger there are times when I am fortunate enough to receive packages from brands containing new products for me to try out and review on my blog. I have always been super grateful for these times and consider myself so lucky to be able to work with such incredible brands on a daily basis, however recently one package in particular popped through my door and I almost cried at how excited I was to be working with them. On a day where I wasn't feeling particularly good about my content and my blog as a whole, one little package from Rimmel London had the almighty powers to kick my bum back into gear and keep me motivated to continue doing what I love. If there's one thing I need to quickly interject with here, it's that I by no means blog for the 'free stuff' but because I absolutely love writing about beauty and fashion, but having opportunities like this, to be sent products by one of my favourite brands to review, is definitely an amazing perk of doing what I do. It's very humbling to know that brands like Rimmel (and all of the other amazing brands that I work with) want to work with me. Anyway, soppy bit done! On to the review...

Rimmel London's Scandaleyes Mascara has always been one that I have been a massive fan of. For the price point and how amazing it makes your natural lashes look, it's been one that I've repurchased time and time again since I first even started wearing makeup back when I was 15! The new Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara, fronted by the gorgeous Cara Delevinge, is an even more dramatic black mascara for 'dangerously bold, lethally full lashes' and has been designed to be super easy to remove too. With the extra help of the new Max Density brush and the new 'reloaded' formula, this mascara leaves my lashes feeling fuller, longer and just more badass overall and with no clumps! I've never been the kind of girl to shy away from big lashes and as someone who cannot for the life of her apply false ones, this is the kind of mascara that will always get my vote. Natural, big lashes is a must have look for me on the daily and the Scandaleyes Reloaded has definitely got me covered for that. With two colours, Black and Intensley Black, this mascara is perfect for anyone that loves a dramatic eye or just for anyone that loves a mascara that is easy to apply and even easier to remove. The new formulation means that this product can be removed with just a bit of hot water making it simple to look good all day and feel good all night without having the product left on as you sleep - no need to be lazy with this one! With a 24 hour staying power (which I haven't quite tested just yet but it does last a bloody long time) and an intense look that is sweat proof, smudge proof and humidity proof, (which I can definitely say is the case) this mascara should be number 1 on every girls list of favourites! I've really loved trying out this mascara and it's definitely one that I'm reaching for most days now!

Day of The Dead Sugar Skull Halloween Makeup Look

We've officially hit the two week mark now and Halloween is more than on it's way! I am getting so excited about my birthday this year and to be quite honest, I'm not overly sure why because I'm not really doing anything special for it (apart from an incredible Halloween Party at Woodchester Mansion the weekend before). Obviously though, whether I'm doing anything or not on my actual birthday, I'm always going to get excited for Halloween and this week I just had to show you yet another Halloween Makeup Tutorial! This tutorial is going to be for a Day of the Dead / Sugar Skull Halloween look, which is one that my friend Becks is actually going to be wearing to the Halloween party and one that I absolutely love! As was with the Zombie Cheerleader Tutorial I posted a few weeks ago, this one was also originally posted on the Party Delights blog - so make sure you take a peep over there to get some in-depth instructions on how to create this look.

Day Of The Dead Makeup Look

1 - Completely blank out face including eyebrows with Snazaroo White Face paint
2 - Create Circles around eyes with Snazaroo Black Face paint and also create nose detailing (as shown  in image 2 below)
3 - Create the base for the mouth with thin black lines running from the each side of your mouth back towards your ears
4 - Add in a little decoration with red circles around eyes, ensuring these have a scalloped effect for a more creative look. Also at this stage you can add an upside-down heart on your forehead, just between your eyebrows.
5 -Add in the final details such as swirls and decorative detail (image 4 below) and also fill in the mouth area. You can do this by adding vertical lines along the horizontal line you created earlier and doing the same across your mouth too.
6 - add some decoration to your chin / neck area such as the spider web I have created below.
7 - add more colour by dotting around the decorations you have added.
8 - Pop on the Sugar Skull Cat outfit from Party Delights!

I really hope you like this look and that it gives you some inspiration for Halloween if you're still lacking on the idea front! A massive thank you to Party Delights for working with me on this look once again and also to Melody for helping my create / photograph this look! Like I mentioned above, if you want to see this step-by-step with more in-depth instructions then pop along to the Party Delights Blog to see that and stay tuned to my blog over the next week for my final Halloween look of the year!
