Shopping Beauty with Ideal World TV

Shopping online for beauty bits is always easy for me; I usually head to the same websites that I know and love and normally always have something in mind before I go to purchase. I never really stray from the brands that I'm used to and don't really buy a product if I can't try them before I buy (or at least read a couple of pretty fabulous reviews) especially when it comes to slightly pricier products.  When it comes to makeup and skincare I usually know what I like and so to part with my cash on a brand I've never heard of is an almost impossible feat. When I was approached by Ideal World to receive one of their bloggers boxes though I was pretty excited, having never shopped with them before or tried some of the products they have to offer, I was like a kid in a sweet shop and couldn't wait to get my hands on them. Being set in my ways, buying from a website like Ideal World had never really occurred to me before and so I felt extremely lucky to be sent a box of goodies to try out and review. For this blog post I've picked out all of the beauty bits that were very generously sent across to me; the box was packed to the brim full of incredible products and I can't wait to get trying them all, but for now I wanted to showcase some of the stand outs! Keep your eyes peeled over the coming weeks for more reviews, specifically skincare related.

When I first opened the box there were a couple of products that really stood out to me and the first of those was definitely the Original Makeup Eraser. Since hearing about this magic makeup removing cloth a couple of months back, I was super excited to get it out and start using it to see if it really was as good as everyone said. After popping it in the washing machine I tested it on a full on face of makeup. I was a bit sceptical at how good it could really be because lets face it, it's just a piece of fabric and my flannel has never managed to do more than just smear my makeup everywhere, but I was honestly amazed at how good a job it did at removing it all. Having ran it under hot water for a couple of seconds and squeezed out the excess I set to work rubbing this all over my face and was actually astonished to see that everything was coming off. The brows? Gone within seconds. The Mascara? Picked up within a few swipes with not even a peep of a panda eye to show for it. I don't know how it works, but the Makeup Eraser is a thing of magic and has quickly become one of my favourite ways to remove my makeup. This isn't currently on Ideal World as far as I can see, but keep your eyes peeled as they have some great deals on and have a great flexi-pay system where you can pay in instalments.

Next thing to catch my eye was the Estee Lauder Double Wear Gel Eyeliner, a brand that I did not expect them to sell on Ideal World and not one that I would have even bothered looking out for on their site / on their tv channel. I've heard so many amazing things about Estee Lauder's Double Wear collection and can imagine that this is really good for being long lasting. As I'm not a gel eyeliner wearer though, this beauty is staying in pristine condition and will be featured in an upcoming giveaway soon - so keep your eyes peeled on my social media

A brand that I'd never heard of before browsing the Ideal World website was Skinn Cosmetics and I was really excited to see a couple of products from them in my bloggers box. One item in particular that I was really excited to spot was the Skinn Forget Me Not Perfecting and Correcting Palette as I've seen so much hype around this recently in the blogosphere. Having a new found love for correcting palettes, I couldn't wait to get stuck into this one and to see if the product really was up to the hype! The main colour that I've been using and one of two that I was most excited to get stuck into was the light peachy shade (meant for under eye dark spots); with lack of sleep now already hitting me hard even before I've had my baby, this was going to be a 'make or break' shade for me and this product. I've used it several times now and have to say it's probably the perfect peachy shade for my skin tone; it counteracts the dark patches wonderfully and if I apply it with dabbing the product on with my ring finger I get a really great coverage and you wouldn't even know how much sleep I'd actually had. Used under my usual foundation it really brightens my under eye area and evens out my skin tone and used on its own, blended well, it looks lovely and natural for a quick 'pick me up' look. The second shade that I am doting on in this palette has to be the light green shade. Designed to reduce and counteract redness on the skin, I've been using this to dull down my blemished areas and around my nose. Again, this seems like a great shade for my skin tone and really does help dull down the redness on my skin. When used with my foundation it blends flawlessly to remove any colouring and just leaves me with the perfect flawless finish. I can totally understand the hype on this one!

Last but by no means least, the final beauty product I've been trialling is the Skinn Cosmetics Wow Factor Mascara, something again that I'd heard quite a bit of hype over and couldn't wait to get trying. Mascara is a biggie with me as even if I'm having a 'no makeup day' I will usually pop a thin coat on to open up my eyes a bit. Mascara is something I've grown to love as an essential even when I'm not putting anything else on and I do feel a bit bare without it. I've been loving this mascara because it's almost exactly what I've been looking for, it's great for adding definition and length to your lashes without them being too in your face and yet still gives a gorgeous effect to them too. I love the thin formula as it's not too gloopy and doesn't clump together and it sits really nicely on my lashes - it's not too heavy and doesn't feel like it's weighing them down like other mascaras can. For a relatively unknown brand to me, I've been really impressed with this product!

Have you shopped with Ideal World before? What do you think of the beauty bits I've tried so far? I'd love to know in the comments!
